Deep, blood red core fading to a purple rim. An intense, powerful and meaty nose of forest floor fruits, dried black cherries and raisins, with hints of hay, eucalyptus, smoke and dark chocolate. On the palate the wine is amazingly intense with great power and grip. Ultra-ripe fruit, with plums, loganberries and blackcurrant all to the fore, with additional mineral elements and hints of pomegranate and cranberry. Full, round, layered and complex, this has a terrific tannic profile that is supple and well-knit, leading into a very long finish.
