Bright ruby red core, fading to a pale pink rim. Beautifully intense, pure nose of plum, black cherry compote and blackcurrant leaf, with hints of blackcurrant juice, toasty oak, leather, liquorice and mocha. On the palate the wine is intense and pure, with outstanding freshness and wonderful acidity. There is excellent structure and balance, and nicely integrated, ripe tannins that are complimented by black fruit notes, along with hints of vanilla, smoke and black treacle. Ripe but not sweet, the finish is extremely long, supple and seamless.
